Storage loc to st transfer--mat disappeared

Hello Everyone,

I have a material  storage loc to storage loc stock transfer issue.

In the outbound delivery for the same somehow the end user has A material of batch XY moved to another storage location  but in the goods movement data tab in the new storage location material number is different. say Mat B.

When I look at the material accounting doc it shows that MAt A and the batch were moved to the correct storage location .

But when I look at the stock status in MMBE it doesn't reflect the same.

The material batch has just disappeared . Please assist

Thank you

Regards

Maddy

Please check the material stock "Transfer (SLoc)". When you do transfer posting between storage location to storage location with 313 movement, then the stock will be moved to "Transfer Sloc" and once you do the movement 315, then the stock will available for unrestricted use.

Thanks Rosh,

I had checked that as well earlier but that column is blank.

Jurgen I agree with your point .......I am primarily an SD consultant with limited MM knowledge...

Thank you Rosh and Jurgen appreciate your time .. I realize its difficult to assist with limited information .......like groping in the dark to find a way out

Can you show any screenshots?

Are you sure you had looked at corresponding data?

Are you certain your selection was sufficient?

Hello Jurgen........ I checked MB51(last material accounting --313 for the correct delivery  , MMBE I looked at stock in the new storage location and couldn't spot the same. I couldn't find it in the original storage loc as well

I have been trying to do use an 314 to cancel the 313 but didn't work

thank you

Oh, how I hate this phrase "i did not work" .

This gives 1000 options to guess while you have the error message directly in the screen.

This phrase does not have any information towards a solution.

What I see a 313 movement. This is a MM movements, don't see any relation to an outbound delivery here.

Depending on your customizing of field selection per movement type it is possible that the receiving material is a field that can be entered or not. Based on the material document someone probably entered another material number.

313 is just half of an operation, the operation is to be completed with a 315 movement for the new material number then.

If that has already happened, then you can't do a 314 as you have no stock in transit. But this is already a guess.

Jurgen I am sorry if I had you confused.......I should have given specific details

For the stock transfer we are using outbound delivery (Delivery type HOD) the above screenshot is from the goods movement  data tab.

but even with a 313 does the stock not reduce from the issuing location --and update in the receiving storage loc. So the point remains 313 or 315 where is the material/batch which was the original question --cant locate the stock

Thank you

Maddy

I have looked for the material / batch in both storage locations and couldn't locate the same.

If you show me a close up photo of a tree then I can  not know if this tree is located in  a forest or in a desert.

I know how I would approach such situation in my system, usually by zooming out of the detail, looking at the full picture and then zooming in to details again.

But here we do not know how experienced you are. So we are not knowing if we talk to a newbie in MM or to someone with 10 or more years implementing sophisticated solutions.

If you can't share screenshots that show enough details to see and verify that you are looking at the right data and had the right selection, then it becomes very hard to guide you.
