Hi Jaya,

Before taking a decision try to know if the SAP SFTP adapter   fulfill your requirements. There is a good comparative with the Advantco SFTP adapter in this blog SAP PI SFTP Adapter vs Advantco SFTP - Srini Blog

With AEdaptive you have this thread where Srinivas talks about his experience

Hi All,

Thank you for your replies.

yes I'm aware of SAP SFTP adapter opportunity provided by SAP and which can be utilized with out depending on other third party adpaters.

But here the scenario is we are using the key based authentication for AE Adaptive SFTP adapter.

In AE adpateive we have option of passphrase where we can provide the passowrd of generated privatekey and same doesn't exists for SAP SFTP adapter.

Our target team are not ready to use the another new key pair where we can generate the new keys with out passphrase. So we thought of using the same AE Adpaptive in single stack also.

Could you please help me to get the solution using the SAP SFTP adapter.

Below are the differences of both adapters.

Regards,

Jaya

Hi Jayasuryavathi,

Shabarish Vijayakumar explains in his blog an example using a private key with a passphrase for signing the messages.

Hi Jayasuryavathi

AFAIK, the passphrase for the key used in SAP's SFTP adapter in entered during import to NWA's keystore.

Therefore it is not required to reenter it in the channel config, that is why there is no field for it there.

I'm not sure how AE Adaptive's adapter works. From the screenshot, it refers to the key file, maybe it uses a physical file in the file system instead of the key store in NWA, that is why it requires the passphrase as an input field.

Anyway, not sure what type of keys you are using, and since the target team has specified on some existing key, it might be a limiting factor. You can check if it's a PKCS#12 Key pair, and if it is, try importing it into NWA to test it out.

Additionally, you can also refer to the following Wiki covering keys for SAP's SFTP adapter.

Hi Jaya

Just wondering if there is any particular reason why you are going for AEAdaptive's SFTP adapter since SAP has it's own SFTP adapter which is already included in the licensing. Refer below:-

Hello Jaya,

As Suggested you can use the native SFTP adapter provided by SAP, Below links are regarding Aaeadaptive adapters just for your reference.
