Question on extraction

Former Member

Hi Best and Wise gurus,

While studying the properties of the business content infocube 0FIGL_C01-General ledger:Transaction figures, I came to know that in its Datasource 0FI_GL_1, the extraction method is F1 and the extract structure is DTFIGL_1.

1)What is F1 extraction method? Guess there are some more extraction methods . Can anybody throw some light on them.

2)In R/3, while checking the properties of the datasource in RSA5,the extract structure DTFIGL_1 has its direct access property defined as 1 indicating extractor does not support preaggregation.

Other options in direct access are

2 Extractor supports preaggregation

D Virtual access not possible.

Can anyone explain them?

Any documents related to this can be sent to vbalji_007@yahoo.com

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Balaji

Hi dear,

what you see is the content of field VIRTCUBE of ROOSOURCE table...

If it contains the value '1' or '2', the datasource is released for remote access, if it contains the value 'D', the dataSource is locked for remote access.

If the value is empty (' '), the attribute has not yet been assigned and the datasource is also locked for remote access. (OSS NOTE 326482).

The aggregation behaviour means what it says: if the datasource performs any aggregation while it extracts or if you upload data with the same granularity (I'm talking always about virtual access!)

Bye,

Roberto
