Combined order creation using FM

Hello Experts,

I am trying to create a combined production order using FM MILL_OC_ORDER_MERGE.

Necessary production orders have been created after creating sales order.

But during execution it is not processed in background. Instead it goes in to user input screen giving list of operations to be selected. Even after selecting the operations, it gives the error that "Settlement profile could not be created".

Can some one please give any input on this as to what is that I am missing?

Hi Srinivas,

For order combination, the system uses the settlement profile defined in the order type, which is derived from the selection profile, or from the reference order if you don't use a selection profile. Please refer to SAP Note 827228 for more details in checking settlement profile determination.

Do you encounter the same error if you use transaction MILL_OC in dialog mode?

Regarding process order combination in background, have you set the import parameter I_DARK to 'X'?

Yes. I was able to resolve the issue by creating a new settlement rule. Also the order type dependent parameters need to have distribution rule PP5 assigned to it. The FM executed in the background and combined order was created.

But one question remains - regarding component assignment. If the component is available in the component list of individual orders then would they also get added up in the combined order?

Now the challenge for me is to call the confirmation MF. There are few FMs for confirmation of combined orders but in the import parameters there is no possibility of inserting additional lines and passing the individual orders.

Any suggestion on the above two points would be most helpful.

Yes, the components of the origin orders assigned to the combined operations are also added to the combined order.

Why would you need to pass individual orders in confirmation of a combined order?

Hello Lantao,

Thanks for the immediate reply. I will work on the BOM component and check it out and revert back.

Regarding passing two order numbers to confirmation, if you work with CO11N standard t code and pass the combined order number then the confirmation screen moves to quantity distribution screen wherein original orders are already copied with respective quantities which will be posted as yield and also as GR for these orders.

Will the FM call for combined order confirmation replicate this internally and which FM to use is my doubt.
