How to make Tax Jurisdiction field mandatory at VA01 transaction ?

Hello Everyone,

How to make Tax Jurisdiction field mandatory at VA01 transaction ?

I made the Tax Jurisdiction field mandatory from SHD0 transaction but until I click on the more fields details this field is not mandatory.

If I do not click on more fields button, system is not asking to put Tax Jurisdiction field.

Any other way to make this field mandatory at sales order creation transaction ??

This field is populated from the customer master. Making it mandatory there is one way to ensure it flows into the sales order.

I don't think this field is available in the in-completion field catalogs at the sales order header/ partner level.

I need to make this field required only for certain sales order document type. Not for all the sales orders.

Well in that case i suggest you look into the SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE sales order userexit. Maintain the relevant order types in a TVARV variable and ask your Abaper to write custom code to throw the error if that field is not populated at the time of order save.
