Giving Default Class in IE01/IE02 on basis of Equipment Category

Hi ,

I have created a Class (002) for Characteristic data and assigned to Equipment Master in SPRO, but now the USER requirement is that when ever User click class Overview  - our Created class should come automatically . No need to search the Class from the list.

The automatic assignment of Class should be done on basis of Equipment Category. We need to assign Different class on basis of Category.

Please help me in this scenario.

Hi

You can achive this with GuiXT:

You need to 2 scripts for these :

First save the current Equipment type (1) and then you can query

on the equipemnt category and transaction code in the next screen (2)

first screen (1)

Class screen (2) - the result tis that the classs "EQUIPMENT DATA" is assigned in the class overview screen

Please note that 002 is not Class, but it is Class type. I do not think it is possible to get a default value for this during Class assignment.

Yes 002 is Class Type.

When we Click on Class Overview Button in IE01/IE02 we need to manually search the Class and then Characteristic comes for filling.

User Requirement , on click of on Class Overview Button  our assigned Class automatically gets added  on basis of Equipment Category.

I found a exit - CLFM0001 for this but I am not able to find Equipment Category in this Exit.

Is there is any Other way to achieve this.

Sowmen,

002 is Equipment class type applicable to all Equipment categories. I don't think you can have choice of configuring Classification EquipCategory wise. You first try whether you can do this, then think about Defaulting or user-exit.

Dear,

Class/Characteristics are used in PM to classify technical objects based on their technical data.

In real scenario its not possible , why because, we may have same class of equipment with different values will be available with different equipment categories.In such cases its not possible to freeze it smoothly.

If you want to achieve this you need to have single class for single equipment category to map it with custom enhancement.But that leads to complexity of class master and becomes  duploicate of teh master.I feel its too complicated tohave like this.
