BW 7.4 Connection with IBM Cognos

Hi Experts,

I am looking to load the data from IBM Cognos TM1 to BW on HANA (BW 7.4). Do you guys have any pointers towards it ?

I did some research, COGNOS Team is looking into connecting with BW via some SAP BW Client in Cognos which will get it access to BW Info Providers

But i was not able to find anyway to consume the data other way around.

Hello,

We can fetch data from BW and construct Cognos reports.

But I don't think so we can load data from Cognos/TM1 to BW.

If possible, try to connect Database of Cognos to BW if data is stored in Cognos' db tables, then you can create a connection in BW and you can able to load data.

The alternative way of doing so is we've to stage data from Cognos to any relational database table and then through ETL/DB connection, we can load data from the relational database table and store it in BW cubes/Dso's.

If your data is not too large, you can get it done through flat file upload as well.
