Populating an object using a Complex Table

Hi,

Is it possible to populate an object with a complex table ?

I have a complex table with 10 records, I want to populate an  object with the data in the complex table and use it in a list screen. The list screen must have the data in its rows and the fields of this row will have data of the complex table.

Lets say i have a  list screen and i want to populate the data in the complex table to this list screen after when i login to the application i would like to see the data in the complex table in the list screen..

Is this possible in agentry ?

I tried to add a transaction which will take data from the complex table for all its fields, and called this transaction in a action as soon i login to the application and before i display the list screen. I get the rows but i dont see the data in the rows.

Please help,

Thanks,

Deepak.M

    Yes it is possible.

There are two ways you can do this.  One is to just have the object collection pre-populated have the id values that match the Complex table and use update rules to lookup the other values and display them.

Second would be to have a action to clear your collection and then loop over the complex table and add each row to the object collection populating all the needed fields.
