Partner not copied from ship-to-party to delivery for subcontracting (transaction me2o)

Hello,

I am creating a SD delivery note for a subcontracting process.

In the ship-to-party there is a partner maintained for the forwarding agent (role SP). This role is not copied to the delivery note when creating it via transaction ME2O. What could be the reason for this?

Thank you and kind regards,

Christine

Please use the following function to check whether the delivery type is assigned to the partner schema which containing the partner function 'SH' (Ship to party).

SPRO ---> Logistics execution ---> Shipping ---> Basic Shipping functions ---> Partners ---> Set up partner determination for deliveries

Hello,

thank you for the answer - yes, the partner schema contains the partner function "SH" and "SP".

Hello again,

we solved the issue by declaring the partner "SP" as a mandatory partner for delivery type "LB". Then the SAP standard works and the role is copied from the ship-to-party to the delivery. Why this does not work if the partner ist not mandatory is still open.

There is a sap note with a similar issue: 197249. This note deals with deliveries created without reference. The program mentioned there is not relevant when deliveries are created via ME2O. In this case, deliveries are created with program RM06ELLB and function module GN_DELIVERY_CREATE. In these the problem persists that not mandatory partners are not copied from the ship-to.
