You can add additional columns in the system reports, depending on which reports. If you're talking about forms like the AR Invoice layout it is possible.
I don't think you'll be able to add another column to the cash flow report. You can't add any columns to the matrix (form settings is disabled) and also the report looks like al system fields (not directly modifyable from the database).
