conversion from http to https

I want to know how to convert any internet site from http to https?

Any help will be appreciated.

Hi Yogalakshmi,

1.Start by buying a SSL certificate from a CA

2.Add it to your web server and enable SSL

3.Enable 443 port on your virtual_host for the login application

4.Access login page as https:/

These i think will be specified in the webserver guides you use.

Please check the info under

http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/SSL-Certificates-HOWTO/ for information on SSL certificates. These are generally sold by Certification Authority like verisign etc.
