Hello Experts,

We want to create 2 activity area :

1. Putaway for small parts -  SP

2.Putaway for large parts - LP

Here some bins are used by both activity area and we  have define  different consolidation group for both storage Type.

Which consolidation group system will prefer for during putaway for common bins ?

Hi,

Did you maintain the AA at entire storage type level or some specific bins according to aisles, stacks and levels?

Did you maintain any common AA , with combination of bins from both storage types?

Consolidation groups pulled ( maintained ) according to AA & bin combination.

Depends on the sort sequence per acitivity per AA , system can search. Here activity is the put away.

Hi Sunil,

This is inaddtion to CK reddy reply.

As said by him, when we execute sort transaction for bins per Whse.no/AA/Acitivity for the common bins, system will store the final sort sequence only. So lets say we executed sort sequence for LP at last, then this entry overwrites the previous sequence entry in table /SCWM/LAGPS. Hence consolidation group of LP only will be considered.

Hi sunil,

we have options to assign AA to storage bins of entire storage type 'or else we can able to assign the bins at Aisles, stacks, levels & bin section wise from a storage type.

Here is the path,

spro-img-SCM Extended Warehouse Management-Extended Warehouse Management-Master Data-Activity Areas-Assign Storage Bins to Activity Areas

instead of maintaining the storage type, you can maintain the Aisles, stacks, levels & bin section wise.
