Crystal report 2013 and Sections are SLOW

Dear All,
I have a problem with a Crystal report with 15 Subreport that has the Employees in section.

If I refresh the report that extract 160 Employess in section It takes 7 sec to refresh the report but when I moving from
the first section to the last one It takes very long time...

I guess this happen because Crystal refresh the report from the first Employee section till to the last one... in fact after that refresh
has finished I can moving fast to all the Employee present in the bookmark.

There is any way in order to refresh only the Employee selected in Crystal report bookmark ?

Best regards,
MJ

😊

Not really. In order to find the first page of the specified user, Crystal has to render all of the pages between where you are and that page - it can't just jump to the data.

If you want to "preload" the pages (this will make the report take longer to appear when you run it), you can included either "Page N of M" or "Total Pages" on the report. This will force Crystal to render the whole thing before showing the first page.

    Hi Michael,

If you want to speed sub report data retrieval time then please apply one more parameter and link with sub report or restrict inactive records/ employees in subreport sql.

This will reduce number of records counts, every time you refresh main report , main reports each record get linked with sub report data so it takes time.

    Thanks.
