Good day all.
Sometimes sales requests from business partners are received via email on y desktop computer. Is it possible to link the mail to the specific sales order. It will help for audit/ tracking purposes. So if I go on to the business partner or sales order I can then open the email?
Is something like this possible?
Thank you
Nevashan

No worries!
If I understand correctly, yes, you can simply drag the email from outlook into the attachments tab and it will save it as a .msg file depending on your SAP B1 version.
Make sure Outlook and B1 are running at the same permission level if it does not work.
Here are some supporting SAP notes if a problem is being encountered:

I dont suggest u use SAP B1 standard attachment function at all, since anyone can use the same filename file to overwrite existing one, which leads to a bad implementation.
For email dragged out of outlook, a lot of them will share the same file name since the file name comes from the subject line, and this definitely creates a big problem.

Hi,
Add email subject at sales order remarks field. OR Create header level UDF to capture email subject, date and contact person.
Thanks.
