Time recording postings after completion

Dear All,

I have a customer with Sales Orders and Customer Projects with fixed price positions. But sometimes he has the case that after completion of Sales Order and Customer Project further times will be recorded. In this case it is just possible to assign these expenses to position for travels and so posting will be created on travel costs - what is wrong.

Do you have any idea how we can handle it better?

Many thanks and best regards!

Katrin Gruber

    Hi Katrin,

I'm not sure if I got it right. I'll try my best...

You can reopen a project or project task and record times - even if the project was closed or completed before. After you recorded your times to the project, you can close and complete the project again.

    Does this answer your question?

    Best regards,

    Kai

    • Hello Kai,

      many thanks for your reply!

The problem is, that the expenses have to be assigned to Sales Order item and because of completion of Sales Order before just item type "Travel Expenses" is available and this to to posting on wrong expense account leads...

Do you have a further idea?

Thanks a lot and best regards!

    Hi Katrin,

I don't think you can post expense report to the completed Sales Order, instead just my suggestion is to post the expense report to a Particular Cost center where the Sales order/Project is belongs to.

    Thanks

    Vinay
