Crystal Reports 2013

I have installed Crystal Reports 2013 S.P.7 ver. 14.1.7.1853 on a VDI.  I was able to launch the program and enter my license code.  However, when I try to File...Open or Add an existing Project to my Workbench, nothing happens at all - no error messages.  When I tried to use File...New...Blank Report, I get an error "Failed to create the Crystal Database Connector."   Any help would be appreciated.

Try right clicking on the Crystal Icon and selecting Run as Administrator. Looks like somethign is blocking Crystal from accessing dependencies.

I did try running as administrator.  I was able to login but the functions I tried -- File...Open and Add to existing Project do not work.  I do not get the window to navigate to a location.  Does anyone know if this software can run on a Virtual Desktop?

Hi Rose,

Just uninstall and reinstall it step by step, so during installation make sure if there is no error message will be displayed. If no error your CR 2013 will work.

Regards.

Hi Rose,

Do you get the 'Failed to create the Crystal Database Connector' on choosing one of the connections under 'Database Expert'?

I believe you need to have opened a project before I can try that.  Unfortunately, I cannot get that far.

Hi Rose,

Can you explain "add to existing project"? There is no option like that in standard CR Designer that I know of.

Are you opening CR from the BOE link or???

Under Workbench - Add existing Report.  Sorry, not project.

Thanks, I still don't know what Workbench is, can you attach a screen shot? Click on the tool and then hold the ALT key down and then hit the "prt scr" button on your keyboard.

Then using Firefox you can paste it in the browser.
