HANA view support not enabled for query built on Composite provider

hello experts,

we are having an issue when i try to create BW query on top of composite provider in HANA studio and select the option on "External HANA view" upon trying to save it gives me error saying the SAP HANA view support is not enabled for type, but strange thing if i try to similar thing for ADSO/ODS view there i am able to create query and save the query with that option ticked. Attached is snapshot below of error.

I am not sure if we have to enable some seperate setting either at studio or from Admin side or implement some SAP notes to remove that error.

any suggestion will be of great help.

HANA studio version: 2.1

SAP BW 7.4 SP11

regards

laksh

Hi Laksh,

I have enabled check box 'External SAP HANA View'  for one of my composite Provider and activated again. It looks good for me and did not notice any issue with enabling check box. Even created BEx query on it and it is also running fine.

Can you please provide steps you are following to analyze it further?

hello,

thanks for reply... the issue is not with composite provider or with BW query ....

I am creating a BW Query in HANA studio itself ie. when i right click on composite provider it gives option to create new BW query in studio directly.

the query which now i have created in studio if i now try to enable check box 'External SAP HANA View'  for it, then i get above error "HANA view support is not enabled for type"

Hello , I am also facing similar kind of issue but not exactly the same. My issue is i am not able to enable the external HANA view which i created on BW side . (not the one from eclipse side). Please let me know in case if you have come across this situation.
