Hi to all,

I should want to activate the field MCHA-VLCHA in batch transactions MSC1N, 2N, 3N so I would want to manage it in the dynpro of these transactions..Is it possible?

Please suggest.

Thanks in advance for cooperation.

Hi Jurgen,

yes I have already seen that there is the diciture 'deactivated' on that field but being that field 'active' from a technical point of view I wonder if it is however possible to display it on the dynpro...Or at least another field of 10 CHAR to use for my purpose...Can you suggest me some field in MCHA which could be used to managed on those transactions and the steps to do this?

Thanks in advance.

Can't you just use Classification for the purpose of own extra fields in a batch?

Unfortunately no Jurgen because a lot of flows (IDOC but also job linked to external legacy etc..) don't let me (or better drive me to prudency because the impacts of a new charac. in an already existing class are not visible..)..So I have thought two solutions:

- A field of at least 10 char in batch master data as said

- I could create a new characteristic but ONLY to linked to a NEW class and I could do it but the question is: how to activate this NEW class only to a desired Plant and not to all plants?..

Thanks again

there is still the option of a table append and filling the fields with

User-Exit EXIT_SAPMM07M_003

If you want me to move this to the ABAP forum for more ideas, I can do it

Hi Jurgen,

thanks: I should also avoid table append or user exit..If you can move the question to ABAP forum for more ideas (as said the better should be a field already present in batch master - I would have the lower impact possible, already too append and custom..you see) should be a very appreciate kindness

Thanks again for interesting

Hi Jurgen,

thanks: I have analyzed further and I think that i will forced to use classification or an append field on MCHB as suggested from you.

Thanks a lot.
