Hello Experts,
We are trying to connect webide to customer SAP gateway , we connected to there system via VPN connection.
We setup HANA cloud connector and web IDE on customer system on jump host from where SAP gateway URL is accessible.
We are facing issues with destination , it gives error as "Check connection failed"
We defined proxy IP and port.
Questions :
1. Do we need to set proxy user name and password ( System admin said use VPN credentials)
We defined hana cloud settings including sub paths
We have defined destination, it gives connection failed..
Please suggest.
Regards
Manish
Hi Manish,
first of all when when you configure a cloud connector the proxy type must be on-premise and not internet so please select OnPremise
about the not supported... i don't saw it before so if you can please attach a screenshot of the error message.
now about the proxy.. usually the proxy port is 8080 and not 80 and if the proxy require credentials then you need to fill in the credentials there but please try without credentials first and then if it will not work then try with credentials. other than that everything looks fine..
if you still experience issues after then we can have a short phone call.

Hi Manish,
now i got it .. you try to click on check connection button and then you get this message.
in order to test connection to a cloud connector you need to go to the Connectivity tab in your HCP cockpit. the connectivity tab is located after the Destinations tab and if click on it you should see if you have a cloud connector connected .
Leave the proxy type on-premise (because it must be OnPremise) and check your connectivity tab to make sure that a cloud connector is connected to your HCP account.
you should see the status on the top..
please let me know if you see it.
