    Hi,

For notifications use the following path:

Plant Maintenance and Customer Service > Maintenance and Service Processing > Maintenance and Service Notifications > Notification Creation > Notification Types > Set Field Selection for Notifications > [Field Selection Reference Objects PM Notification]

Set 'influencing' on the service notification types (S1,etc) that you want the equipment to be mandatory

For orders use the following path:

Plant Maintenance and Customer Service > Maintenance and Service Processing > Maintenance and Service Orders > Define Field Selection for Order Header Data (PM) > [Field Selection for Order Header Data and Reference Object]

Set 'influencing' on the service order types (SM01,etc) that you want the equipment to be mandatory

The spro tcodes for path given by Paul are:

    • OIAO ---> To make Equipment in Notification mandatory (Field RIWO1-EQUNR). But I do not find the Notification type level Influencing here. We can have controls for Add. Modify or Display modes. (In such circumstances, if we want to have this mandatory field for Notficiation type, then we need to use user-exit QQMA0014)
    • OIAN ---> To make Equipment in Order mandatory (Field CAUFVD-EQUNR). Here as Paul said, using Influencing button we can have the setting for particular Order type.

    Good luck

    • Sorry Paul,

In my system (ECC6.0 EHP0) , there are no options. The moment I click on Influencing I am taken to activity type option screen..... And then......

I went to my EHP7 Mock server (we are in the upgrade process), there I found it. So if the author is in EHPs he will be having. If he's not in EHPs he might have to go to user-exit to have Notification type control.

Thank you, so far, I did not notice this feature in my Mock server (recently upgraded).

      Regards
