I want to start learning SAP PORTAL .Can you suggest ?

Hi Techies,

I am working as a SAP Developer. Now i want to learn SAP Enterprise Portal.

Can you suggest any basics needed to learn sap portal ?

And also what are the softwares needed to learn sap portal ?

    Hi Lokash,

    Its nice that you are learning SAP Portal.Try searching in help.sap.com, you will find much more options than anyone could let you know,.

    Do start from basics like iview,page ,workset,role, user creations and check the output for reference.

    After that you can go for system object creation to connect to back end and pull data to portal front end using iviews.

    Hello Lokash,

    as I am new to SAP Portal too, I can suggest to participate to the SAP trainings to this topic. EP, EP200 and the ADM800 are possible trainings in this area.

    For me it was good to learn the basics about the Portal. Aside from those trainings it helps a lot to practice in kind of a sandbox system.

    You should find a lot of literature on SAP help, as my previous speaker already said. There are also some good case study oriented books available.
