Job Trace Log showing junk characters in Management Console

We recently upgraded to SAP DS 4.2 SP6. Everything is working fine from the Designer end. But in the management console when we go to see the Job trace log details it shows only junk characters.  It seems some file is missing in the webservices folder. I don't know how to fix this issue.

I am having this same issue after upgrading to SP6 PL4.  Client is fine, Console is not.  Strange that it would corrupt all of our environments (sandbox, dev, and qa).  Any update on this?

Hi,

You need to check the Console version, in my case after upgrad the console wasn't in SP6.

To upgrade in need to do a repair in Windows - Program and features- SAP data services 4.2 SP6 pl x.

After that the Console will be upgraded.

I've the same is issue and I'opened a Sap OSS message to resolve.

Have you check the version from the data services management Console?

In my case the management console wasn't upgraded and still in SP3 version. I need to repair the DataServices 4.2 sp6 installation.

After the repair, the management console was upgraded and the trace log showing fine.

It seems that something has gone wrong during the upgrade of the local repository. Some repository tables has corrupted.

You can create a new repository in DS 4.2 SP6 environment and export all the jobs from the DS_LOCAL_I834572 repository to the newly created one. This will make sure that all the jobs have the version 14.2.6(DS 4.2 SP6) and will work smoothly in the newly repository. Also the management console will display the jobs correctly.
