Visual composer on portal

Hi all,

I installed NetWeaver 04 Sneak Preview SP15, it contains the portal. Now i want to know if it contains the visual composer as well, and if yes how to access it. Thanks

No. It does not contain Visual Composer. You need to install it seperately on an IIS with MS SQL Server Database.

You need an SAP Id and password and sufficient authorizations to download Visual Composer from SAP SWDC. It's not a trialware.

Thanks Venkat, but i just don't understand why do SAP impose the IIS and MS SQL Server on the visual composer users!

Well, for some reasons, it was initially developed on MS platform.

But, as of VC 7.0 which is in ramp-up is free from platform restrictions. It now runs on top of J2EE engine and goes with any Database.
