I have 8 users able to log in except one machine. The error i am getting is 'failed to connect to system landscape directory (sld) contact your administrator. I have uninstalled B1 client then installed it again but i am still getting the same error.'

HI windy,

Restart the server and check server manager is running well.

on the server manager there is drop down option, select that option and click on start button(start button is just below that option)

Hi Wendy.

On your client machine, try ping your server; if you can't ping through, you have to check your network settings.

Try this

  • Un-install client
  • Delete sap folders in Drive:C -> Program files
  • Stop fire-wall
  • Stop windows updates
  • Re install client

If this is not working try to create another user in the client system then install sap business one client

Hi Wendy,

If it is only one machine having issues, are you aware of any differences between that machine and the others?

Can you perhaps disable firewall and anti-virus software and see if you get the same error?

Try to ping the SLD server address as well from the problematic machine to determine network connectivity.
