Abort could not determine value for 0dat variable from authorization

Hi all,

I joined BW family one month back and knowing basic concepts of BW. When i try to execute query i get the error message "abort could not determine value for 0dat variable from authorizations . message no BRAIN 656". For resolving this we activate 0calday in Business Content. But i faced this problem 2-3 times and all the times had to activate 0calday object. What is the reason for happening like this? I searched in forum but no use. Can any one tell me the reason for this.

Thanks,

Madhav.

Hi,

may be its authorisation problem. Check with basis.

Hi Madhav,

Welcome to SDN.

are you using 0dat variable in your query, which is pf authorization type that means value of it will be filled up by user authorization. Looks like you don't have authorization to fill up this variable. speak to your basis guy on this.

hope it helps

Hi VC,

Thanks for your quick reply. When i try to execute Demo Cube Query of Demo:Sales and Distribution which contains calender year/month as one of its free characteristics i get this problem. Infact some of my team mates faced this issue even with other queries at that time.

Don't know how this problem arises but when I activate 0calday available in Business Content the problem is solved. I want to know the reason why this happens all of a sudden so that i can prevent this happening next time.

thanks and waiting for reply,

Madhav
