Wsdl and xMII

Hi!

I wrote an applet. Now I want to take information from the xMII server. I believe I have to make this with wsdl. Is there a howto? I don't know how to fix this problem.

Thanks,

Steffen

Has anybody experience by using xMII?

I don't know how to make the WSDL file for the xMII.

Easiest way from within an applet is to request "query" results from xMII via an HTTP GET or POST request (using Java's URLConnection or the Apache HTTP client classes).

      http://<yourserver>/Lighthammer/Illuminator?QueryTemplate=<YourTemplate>&Content-Type=text/xml

This will return you an XML document - the format of this document is consistent and self-defining, and even includes metadata (data types, scaling, etc.). The documentation also explains the XML format.

You can also pass parameters to the query engine this way (refer to the documentation for a comprehensive list of these parameters) and can also use this same mechanism to access the xMII logic engine, charting engine, and SPC calculation engine.

    Hi Rick!

Thank you for your answers. My applet call some java classes, but these classes are not on the xMII, so I have to tell the xMII or the applet, where to find the classes. This I have to make with a WSDL file, I think. I don't know, how to make this file.

      Hello Rick,

You said that you have successfully integrated xMII with the Adobe PDF forms environment (not the PDF actions built into xMII, but the full Adobe LiveCycle forms environment) but according to note OSS 1109054 it seems that the PDF actions still mandatory.

can you confirm that xMII is integrated to Adobe? where can i find documentation on this installation?

We use xmII 12.0 (patch 5.0.1.)

      thank you for your help.

      Regards

      Georges
