Leave and Travel Request on Behalf Employee in MSS

Hi Expert,

Happy New Year to all SCN Members!!

Just I have one doubt that whenever raising leave request or travel request on behalf of Employee in MSS by his Manager Its going for approval to the next manager which is that particular Manager's Direct reporting Position so I want to ask you that is it standard procedure?

Because our client want it should come to same MSS Manager means he will raise the request on behalf of employee and it will come to the same person for approval Is it Possible? If possible what kind of setting required for the same.

Kindly Suggest.

first of all, as informed earlier .

there is no separate customization for workflow for  ESS IN MSS (on behalf scenarios), you can check in PTARQ. either you have to modify the WF settings or implement the badi ie PT_GEN_REQ, to determine the next approver in on behalf scenarios in leave request what in rule group for leave request is your customisation? that would be again followed in on behalf scenarios for earlier release i had explained here http://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/pages/viewpage.action?original_fqdn=wiki.sdn.sap.com&pageId=104006108
