RFC error system SID nr 02 function 'SUBST_START_R... - SAP Community

Hi All,

We have issue in upgrade preprocessing phase MAIN_SHDRUN/RUN_RSPTBFIL_INISHD were negative!

trouble log details :

SAPup broke during phase RUN_RSPTBFIL_INISHD in module MAIN_SHDRUN / Shadow System Operations: SPDD and Activation

Error Message: RFC error system SID nr 02 function 'SUBST_START_REPORT_IN_BATCH' failed with code 5 key BATCH_SCHE

We tried to login System , it is not allowing us from GUI-attached screen for the same (rabax during sapgui)

Checked R3trans -d ( return code 000)

checked stasap -check ( HDB and SAP is up)

checked hosts file - it is as below

Hi All,

We got stuck in preprocessing phase MAIN_SHDRUN/RUN_RSPTBFIL_INISHD were negative!

DB or APP is not coneecting, We are planning to down DB /APP and update R3trans,TP is upgrade directory ?

Will it resolve issue ?

I think you can stop the upgrade, Do the full system restart and then try again in the same phase.

Could you share the full sapup logs as attachment
