Hi,
I setup the trial of SAP 7.02 on Windows 10 and installation had been without problems reported.
When I check SAPMMC everything seems to run but when I like to setup the GUI I get an error:
Error while connecting to communication partner - see preceeding messages.
Could not connect to host localhost on port 21212.
java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect
java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect
When I check "netstat -an" there seems nothing to listen for port 21212.
Aslo the start.htm point to an URL:
http://localhost:8000/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui?sap-client=000
If I call this URL I get an error 403 Service can not be reached.
I'm using Windows 10 with 4GB and JAVA JRE 1.8.
Maybe JAVA version is not compatible with SAP 7.02 ?
Can you help please?
Thank you in advance!
Andre
Hi Guarav,
it just contain this line:
# localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself.
127.0.0.1 localhost
# ::1 localhost
But I've tried it also yet with additional information you provide so it looks now like:
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
But problem is not solved...

Andre

Anand,
thank you very much it works now.
So to sumarize:
I setup ABAP_Trial_7_02_SP11_Win_64_bit_Version_3_387_GB but also requiere ABAP_Trial_7_02_Win_64_bit_1_84_GB because it contains the GUI directory I need for setup.
The secret of port 21212 will still be a secret
My first impression - there're really less transaction given.
Is there any way to include other modules as eg. SD in the trial?
Thank you very much!
Andre

Hi,
Could you please share host entries which you maintained at your end or try to maintain as like
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
<IP of server> <Hostname>

Hi Anand,
I've the same issue as in link SAP GUI installation error described - no GUI directory (and in my case also no Part2 to extract).
But I found a second trial called ABAP_Trial_7_02_Win_64_bit_1_84_GB and this contains a directory called GUI.
I can setup GUI so okay first stap is solved - GUI is installed.
But when I run it the Login button is deactivated and it seems that the problem with the connection is now only postpone to connection after setup ...

Andre

Hi,
I disable Firewall & UAC and add "127.0.0.1 localhost" to vhost.
Unfortunately result is the same as before and I get the error that connection to port 21212 is not possible.
Any further ideas why that happen?
Thank you
Andre
