How to use opendoc in Design Studio ...

Hello Folks

I have spent a couple of days trying to web-search as to how to open Design Studio applications using opendoc and passing parameters. I have a geo-map Analytic that when a user clicks on a country will launch another Design Studio Application by passing the country code and other mandatory parameters as required by the second BEx query. Unfortunately, there are no examples out there (at least as far as I have searched). Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

There is an example and tutorial of OpenDoc here:

Would you please review these, and see if it helps with your application?

Hi Tammy - Thanks for your reply! In my case, when I click on my "Jump To Application", it opens up a new tab in my browser and expects an Enterprise ID and password. In your example, you jump to the second application and are not being prompted for an id and password. Can you explain how?

Thanks

My queries are in the same box using the same OLAP connection; if you are being prompted, how is your BI authentication set up?  I am not an expert in that area, but it is something for you to look at

Hi Tammy - I am using the exact same BW/BEx query/connection. We have both SAP and Enterprise security enabled on the BOBJ side. I am using the SAP security to logon to BOBJ (using my BW id and password).

Thanks!
