could not deploy PAR files

Dear expert,

An error occured when I tried to deploy a simple JSPDynPage PAR file, the error message is as below:

Caused by: com.sapportals.portal.pcd.pl.PlRuntimeException: unexpected SQLException

Cannot assign a zero-length byte array to host variable 18.

I'm new to EP development, I don't know which reason caused this error, the code in project or SDM itself.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Best Regards,

Mark

Hi Sun,

Did u try deploying it through administration console.Goto System Administration-Support-Portal runtime-Administration Console. and then deploy ur par file. Try whether it works.

Hi,

Such issues are typically because of mismatch in version between NWDS and EP. i.e. you need to have all the components upgraded to SP 14.

Try your luck.

Hi Divakar,

You are right, the SAP support team have given the same answer. I have upgraded the remained modules to SP14 and It worked well.

Yes, I also found the 2 topics, and I have posted a OSS message too. Hope SAP will give a solution.

looks like others have seen this as well, but no one seems to have posted an answer yet:

What Support Pack level is your portal at?

Are you able to deploy other PAR files or none at all?
