Hi,
I'm new in SAP and currently having problems in modifying User Profiles and Roles. I need to restrict a certain user for Posting of Accounting Documents in transaction code FV70. But I cannot change the role assigned to her. I hope somebody could help me. I am having a hard time already.
Thank you so much in Advance.
Regards.

Thank you so much to both of you who replied. Both suggestions are very helpful to me. You gave me the right ideas! Thanks so much.
Actually I am having problem in changing the individual user's role and also the role itself
I don't receive any error messages when accessing the su01. Thank you sir craig for the suggestion of using su53. I've checked it already thanks so much!
Yes Sarath, I've done that already. But I think I missed one important step. I forgot to remove the user from the old role! Thanks for the nice step-by-step procedure.
I say, Thank You So Much To BOTH of you Sir Craig and Sarath. You're Such A Big Help to me. I am currently working on it again. I'll let you know if it worked.

Good Evening Sir,
I am glad someone replied to me. Thank you so much. By the way, I asked our SAP Administrator if I have an access to change the Profile/Role, and he said yes. I am a new ABAPer. Sorry but I am really ignorant on this matter and I do not have enough knowledge yet. I am trying to change the role in SU01 but with no success.
Thanks again and regards.

Hi,
first of all if you change the role all the users assigned to that role will get effected.
so copy the role and create a new role.
take out the user from the old role assign it to new role and maintain the authorizations for the new role.
goto Trx PFCG
enter the new role name
click on change
click on authorizations
click on change authorization data
expand Basis administration
click on manually
add authorization object
save
Thanks
Sarath.
Where are you trying to change the role/profile in SU01? Silly question but do you have access to change this?
