Lumira 1.29 - Java heap space error

Thanks in advance for any advice - I'm trying to load a dataset using SAP Universe Query Panel and encountering a Java heap space error on my desktop installed version of Lumira. Is this heap space a configurable variable?  If so, where would I find it?

Thanks Tammy.  I get an authentication challenge when trying to access the KBA.  Will try to have local support team access the KBA.

I copied in the proposed resolution from the KBA:

Resolution (Source: SAP)

Increase the JAVA Heap size from the defaut of 1024m

  1. Stop SAP Lumira
  2. Open C:\Program Files\SAP Lumira\Desktop\SAPLumira.ini in a text editor
  3. Change "-Xmx1024m" to a larger value such as "-Xmx2048m" keeping in mind how much memory you have on the machine
  4. Save SAPLumira.ini
  5. Start SAP Lumira and retest

Thanks Ludek, I still got the authentication challenge after I got your reply but I was able to cancel and view the KBA.  Would it be possible to do the same with the link referenced here so I can trouble shoot this error?

Hi Carole

First apologies for these links. We are in the process of changing to a different search system and it has it's growing pains...

Looking at the KBA, it look like it may not apply as it says that the issue was resolved in Lumira 1.22 and higher (unless the bug was somehow reintroduced - always a possibility)
