This i get when testing the alert

to the users attached as recipients for the alert category..in their user master record on the abap stack...do they have their internet mail addresses maintained ?

Transaction SU01, enter the username which is attached to the alert category as recipient...click on change...

in the "Address" tab and group "Communication" maintain the value for E-mail and try again...

Also is the configuration in SCOT complete to send out external mails from the ABAP stack ?

I guess not.

Any way any help why I don't get an alert when proccessing from the messege process but only when running the program that you gave me from the

ABAP stac

also how do i check that the report SXMSALERT_PROCESS_DATA_GET is running in the background ?

Use TCODE: sm37 to check it please.

which SP stack are you on?

This needs to be done if you are on a SP below SP14.

Also if you are below SP14, the errors in the Adapter engine will not create Alerts..

but how do i schedule the report SXMSALERT_PROCESS_DATA_GET as a background job?

scheduling of report SXMSALERT_PROCESS_DATA_GET is not required if you are above SP14..
