Hi.

I installed CR 2013 sp 7

I also created an ODBC Connection for ServiceNow (32 bit). When I tested logon only this ODBC it works well

But When I try to open this ODBC with CR they not work

I see ServiceNow Data Source Name in Crystal

But when I try to logon, it Failed to initialize the Service component

Thanks

Hi Martin,

Try to create 32 bit and 64 bit ODBC with same name and configuration and then try to run.

Hi Mahak

It's like 64 bits overwrites or crosses over 32 bits.

Thanks for you reponse. I created 32 bit and 64 bit ODBC with same name and configuration. But I saw another error message:

Fyi, with 32 bits I can logon with External data with ODBC (Like Microsoft Access) on ServiceNow Database. I see the tables and data.

But I use the same odbc connection with Crystal Report 2013 but not work.

Thanks,

Got it :

I unistal 64 bit and reinstall only 32 bit version of ServiceNow ODBC drive. See below how to change IP parameter

ServiceNow KB: ODBC Error Messages: Determining if your client application was unable to load the dr...!

Resolution

If you receive the following error message when attempting to load or intialize the driver connection, [DataDirect][ODBC OpenAccess SDK driver][OpenAccess SDK Client]Failed to initialize the Service component., it may indicate that the client application (for example, Crystal Reports) was unable to load the driver. One of the reasons may be that the default Java maximum heap size is too large for the reporting application.

  1. In the Management Console, navigate to Services > Service Settings > IP Parameters.
  2. Reduce the value of ServiceJVMOptions to -Xms32m -Xmx64m.
  3. If the error persists, reduce the memory more.
