How to set system to 'Modifiable' in transaction SE03?

We've got InfoPackage short dump in data mart load and we are suggested by SAP Support to delete related table entries in these two control tables:

ROOSPRMSC

ROOSPRMSF

We can get to change mode of these two control tables and change the field value "Data Browser/Table View Maint." from 'Display/Maintenance Allowed with Restrictions' to 'Display/Maintenance Allowed', but still find the menu item "Delete" is dimmed and only "Display" menu item is available that we are unable to conduct table entry deletion for these two tables. Then SAP Support suggests us to set the system to 'Modifiable' in transaction SE03. However SE03 is a "Transport Organizer Tools", we can't find a button or menu to set the system to 'Modifiable' with SE03. Any idea?

Thanks

Hi,

In SE03, administration-->setsystemchange option

Right click and find the documentation available:

Description

Use this program to set the system change option.

Use the global setting to specify whether Repository objects and cross-client Customizing are modifiable or not.

To make cross-client Customizing objects modifiable, you need to allow changes in the global setting and the Client Setting.

There is also another option for Repository objects: Each Repository object is in a namespace or name range, and in a software component.

So that a Repository object can be changed, you need to set the following to Modifiable:

the global setting

the namespace or name range

the software component of the object

You can set the software component so that the Repository objects are Modifiable, have Restricted modifiability or are Not modifiable. Restricted modifiability means that you can create Repository objects in this software component as non-original objects only.

You can set the namespace or name range so that its Repository objects are modifiable or not modifiable.

Requirements

You need the administration authorization for the Change and Transport Organizer to execute this report program.

Output

All software components and namespaces/name ranges are displayed. You can then make your changes to them.

Example

Notes

The SAP System logs this activity. To display the log of the system change option settings, choose Log.

The way the system change option is set has no effect on client-specific Customizing changes. The Client Control Setting determines whether you can change client-specific Customizing or not.

To set those namespaces for which you have the producer role to Modifiable, choose Edit -> Own namespaces modifiable. These include your own prefix namespaces, if you have applied for any from SAP. For more information on using prefix namespaces, see Help -> SAP Library -> BC - Basis Components -> Change and Transport System -> Namespaces and Naming Conventions -> Development in Reserved Namespaces.

Hope this helps.....reward if helpful.

hi Shylaja,

First we can't find any administration menu itme or button in SE03, Secondly, this documentation does't help to tell us on how to make the system modifiable.

Thanks and i still give you reward points though.

Hi Kevin,

I am working on SAP BW 2.0B and have SAP_ALL access.

When I run SE03, I see Transport Organizer Tools Folder and 5 subfolders below it. Last subfolder is Administration. Under it, first option is Set System Change Option.

If you double click on this, you will see help that is what is pasted in the previous post.

Hope it helps.

Regards,

Yogesh

Hi all - this worked to me after making the change in SE03. I had already executed the change in SCC4 and still didn't allow me to make any change. Then, using SE03--> Administration--> Set system change option, this worked. I only changed it for the tecnical components I neeed
