Direct updation of prodord from sales order

Hi,

I have 10 diff. BOMs in sales order BOM. I update this bom after receiving it from eng.dept one by one. Now the problem is after receiving from 8th BOM, production order is created. Now if I made change in that sales order BOM, this change in production order is not done automatically.

Can anybody guide me how to make automatic change in production order on changing sales order BOM.

Hi Deepak,

Please ensure the validity of your BOM and maintain the selection method in MRP4 as selection by explosion date if you are not using the production versions

please keep in mind that the validity of the BOM should be valid on the production order created date

if the production order is already created then make read PP Master data by ensuring the validity of the BOM

The BOM can be updated if you are using order change management. Take a look on the following link from SAP help for more details:

Hi Deepak,

From the production order menu, Choose Functions --> Read PP Master data.
