Problems with Ownership-manager calculations in BPC 10 NW

Hello BPC Experts,

I have some problems with the calculation in the ownership manager in BPC 10.0 NW.

Following issue:

I insert follwing values in the edit monitor of the ownership manager:

Company 0010 which is the mother;  method 101 Holding and 100% (pown, pcon, pctr)

  Company 1100 daughter, method 100 Full and also Onwership 100%

  Company 1180 daughter, method 100 Full and 100%

After saving I did the calculation and BPC changed the method to 20 which is at equity and also the percentage to 25%. (s. pic)

But I have a simple scenario, all companies are full consolidated and I do not understand why BPC changed the method.

Do you have some Idea or can help here? I checked the Dimensions and the Modell Ownership, but I can not see what is wrong there.

Hi Daniel,

If you enter the ownership value through ownership monitor then it will not calculating ownership percentage.So when ever you try to enter data through monitor and calculate the percentage it shown equity method.If you want calculate the ownership percentage like purchased or proportioned method then you need to input ownership data through Input schedule in ownership model and then calculate the ownership through monitor.

thanks, it works with the input schedule.

But I did not understand, why you can input data in the ownership manager and it does not work right. But anyway it works in this way!.

I don't  know what reason behind this may be BPC product draw back.

Hi Daniel,

In BPC 10.0 NW Ownership calculations run on basis of Method rules created under rules section.

Please check the rules. It will explain how ownership manager calculates Method values.

Hi Rahul,

thanks for the document, I checked it with your document, but the problem was the input schedule.

I thought in Version 10.0 the ownership manager works well and you do not need the input schedule, but anyway I put the data in with the input schedule and the calculation woks.
