Instant WO creation using Call Horizon

Hi All,

I am in the process of using IP41 to set up work orders to be generated for inspections. These inspections can range from 6 months to 1 year to 5 years. I set the call horizon to 0% (left the field blank), but after a work order is completed, I'm not seeing another one generated.

How would I set IP41 to generate a new work order immediately after the one prior was completed?

Hello Colin,

The next WO will be created only after scheduling the plan i.e., running IP10. For this reason only, we do background scheduling of plans, which runs IP30 regularly at a predefined intervals (say daily). So if conditions satisfy for a WO to be created, this daily automatic scheduling will create WO without your intervention. This frequency of scheduling can be in hours too as per the requirement. Hope you know about IP30. This is also for scheduling used for many plans together. (You can use for single plan also).

So the options for your case are

• Run IP10 for your plan everyday manually. OR
• Create a background job to schedule your plan (using IP30 program i.e., RISTRA20) automatically by the system.
