PR workflow skipped one level approval

HI,

I am new to Workflow and wanted to know why workflow skipped one level.

There are total 7 levels of PR release approval.

First 3 levels went correctly and it skipped 4th approver and workflow triggered directly to 5th level approver. what could be the reason ?

I checked at 4th level approver and there is no substitute.

For each level there is a workflow created and mail triggered. Hope this is common only.

How does the approval work in your workflow, by calling ME54N? if so, the user could have had authorizations for more then one approval level and mark both in the same time. you can see it in the change logs.

Hello,

You'll have to look at how the agents are determined. It could be,for example, that one of the possible approvers at Level 4 had already approved it at a lower level and a function module for setting the agents was smart enough to realize that.
