OPEN IN Functionality in FIORI

Hello All,

One of my Customer is looking to understand the OpenIn Functionality in Fiori Launchpad.(Screenshot attached- Refer Right Bottom Corner)

I was not aware of this option and have tried my best to figure out the functionality using google search but unfortunately I couldn't find any relevant information/documents or links.

Please let me know if any one of you have configured this in your landscape.

I think it is an app function and not a launchpad function.

What is the app name?

Thanks a lot for your immediate response.

By App Function, does it mean that OPENIN function will automatically come when we configure a Standard APP(PFCG roles).

As of now, we are looking this functionality in the standard app "Number of outbound deliveries"(screenshot attached)

In case if we want to use this Functionality for a custom Tile/App, do we really have a option for doing so or can I consider this as a tool limitation as of now. (Currently available only for SAP delivered apps)

If you can help me with some link which explains this functionality in detail, that would be really helpful.

Hi Prabhith,

I don't know what you are going to do.

You can look at all UI codes of the app. ODara service method codes are also available in the backend.

Sorry to have confused you! I will try to explain my concern here.

From your reply above, it sounds like the “Open-in” function is built into the App or ODATA service itself. Hope I am right?

If we want to add “Open-in” capabilities that do not exist in a standard app, such as the app mentioned above (Number of outbound deliveries), is there any possibility that we can extend the same for meeting the openin requirement.

I still have not found any standard documents or links which explains this functionality in detail.

Could you please provide me links to some helpful docs on this topic?
