BOBJ SSO with BW fails with password change of the user in BW

Dear All,

we have a strange symptom for a Customer.

We have successfully setup SSO for BW and BO. But when the password of a user on BW is changed the SSO for that user stops working.

our BI is 4.1 SP5.

Any ideas?

Try login with the user manually with SAP account with the new password.

now again test the BOBJ SSO workflow.

Hello raunak,

ths for the answer. however woudl love to avoid a check like this.

The Customer complains that the product should manage this policy of BW without manually login with BW user on BOBj.

any further hint?

I also think that it should be handle by the product.

But i suspect that you have configured the SSO but its not working correctly, hence wanted to check on that.

to check if SSO is correctly configured perform following test:-

  1. Create a brand new Enterprise account/password
  2. in the account properties select assign alias (near the bottom of the account)
  3. Select an SAP alias (that works intermittently preferably) any SAP alias that works can be chosen
  4. Save and close  (2 aliases will now show: the enterprise account just created and the SAP alias chosen)
  5. At this point ensure that no one logs into the BI system or client tool with that SAP alias chosen above or else the test will not be valid
  6. Login to BI Launchpad with the new Enterprise account and refresh a few reports (ideally the same ones which display the problem when scheduled)

by any chance the users have initial password set.?
