Please provide more details about your problem.

Did you get any update terminate message while posting Part2?

Do you see the Part2 entry for your Excise invoice number J_1IPART2 table? If no, Do you see the Part1 entry in J_1IPART1 table? If no, What is the Excise invoice status in MIGO or J1IEX header?

If Status is In process, you can check if Part 1 can be updated using J1I5 and Post the Excise invoice in J1IEX.

Simulate and Post Cenvat buttons in J1IEX transaction code will be in Active mode if Part1 is already updated.

If you have canceled the Excise invoice then the Status should be "B" Canceled.

Is it happening to one P.O or all P.Os having excise related data?

Normally, if your excise year changes, then you may get this errors .I mean to say that part-1 posted in previous year and while posting part-2 in current year you may get error.

Kindly share the error message for better analysis purpose.
