Wrong Storege Media picking in Communication Method of Message Output

Hi Experts,

Greetings...!!!!

I am facing a problem with communication method in message output type. I am sending PO via external mail and I am maintained “Print Only” as a setting for storage mode in message output type and in MN05 for specific condition.

But when I create PO and go to message tab and check communication then for message output I found “Print and Archive” comes by default.

I feel I am missing some settings. Where I made settings in MN05 and for specific message Output type only at these two places. If I am maintain a Print Only as storage mode then in PO Messages tab communication setting should come as maintained that is Print only for Storage Mode.

Please help me to solve the issue. Suggest which OSS need to impliment.

Thanks

    Hello

Please go to the transaction NACT,

    find your document type (NB)

click twice in the output type (??)

And in the tab STORAGE SYSTEM, clear the storage mode.

The system check first to see if the storage mode is defined in the condition record (MN05). If there is no value, then the storage mode is taken from the output type (NACT).

Please check whether you maintained the output condition record for the correct document type and output message type.

Test : Remove the storage mode value in the condition record (MN05) and maintain the storage mode value in the output type (NACT). Test this, now the system should pick the value which defined for the output type. If not, then a custom rule might be in place.

You mean SAP is automatically changing the field value from 1 into 2?

I don't believe that, it rather looks than you maintain a different condition record in MN05 than the one that is pulled in the output determination.

    Check your determination log.

Check the assigned processing routine of the output type (trx NACT). Is there a customer specific program assigned? Maybe in programs coding settings are overruled.
