Hi,

Is it possible to create an inbound and outbound delivery request and order in EWM without reference to any ERP inbound and outbound delivery .

HI,

for outbound processes EWM has the concept to create "Direct Outbound Deliveries" in EWM without a predecessor document. In this process you create a delivery in EWM which is then replicated to ECC. You can use it for the following use cases:

- Creation of customer deliveries

- creation of deliveries to other ERP plants and storage locations

- creation of deliveries against cost center / internal order

- creation of scrapping deliveries

Regarding inbound processes it is possible to create an inbound delivery in EWM directly in the following cases:

- you have created Expected Goods Receipt Documents upfront which represent a purchase or production order; when creating the ID in EWM you reference the EGR document by this you ensure the reference data are correct

- You can create an inbound delivery in EWM and assign a vendor; the ID is sent back to ERP and tries either to assign to an existing purchase order or create a new one ( if allowed in the purchase info record)

A quick question on the outbound process-

Like in inbound process based on EGR we can create inbound delivery order in EWM, similarly for outbound delivery order in EWM  is there no document required at all like sales order etc in ECC to be the triggering point.

Secondly I would be interested to know how EWM handles batch and HU info if there is no inbound and outbound deliveries created in ECC

Hi,

If any batch requirement is maintained for material in ECC, we can not post IBD & OBD in EWM without batch irrespective of reference document.

We can use HUs also for direct IBD & OBD in EWM,the same can be updated in ECC,since we have the same packaging material types in ECC also.

Hi,

it is not possible to create inbound delivery notification & outbound delivery requests in EWM directly.

those are come from legacy systems only.

example : from ECC to EWM

this is relation with 1:1 ratio only, means any IBD 'or' OBD in ECC can create only one IDN & ODR

but it is possible to create inbound delivery & outbound delivery in EWM directly without any reference IDN 'or' ODR

Hi Indraneel, I am not sure about the Outbound delivery however for inbound you can perfrom the activity using Expected goods receipt functionality..

1) Create Purchase order in ECC

2) Create EGR in EWM ( /SCWM/ERP_DLV_DELETE)

3) as a result of above activity system will create inbound delivery directly in EWM and the same will carry forward in ECC upon Goods Receipt
