Attribute as a key figure calculation not working

Hi

I am trying to calculate a key figure which is a difference between two dates.

KF:

OTD1@REQUEST=AVG(OTD1@PERORDITEM)

OTD1@PERORDITEM=Date2-Date1.  Date2 and Date1 are attributes of the same master data type..

I am not able to get an output when I try to display OTD1 through the excel view.  OTD1 is defined as "attribute as a key figure" with The Time Reference Attribute being "Date1".

Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks

Krishna

and can you see your date's in excel? as KF or as MD ?

Hi Irmhild

I am able to see the dates as MDTs in Excel.  Attached is the exact formula.  OTD111 and OTD222 are defined as "Attribute as a Key Figure".

Dear Krishna

sorry for not asking all questions in the first place:

Do I assume right that the OTD111 is a KF of type TIMESTAMP which is attached as attribute to one of the MD types that are inclduded in planning level PERORDITEM? (Can you see any alue in OTD111 of you have a different formula in which is not depending on attribute-calculations?)

And that the DATE2 and DATE1 (in the screenshot TSCUSTROMERACCEPT) are attributes of type TIMESTAMP as well? And are DATE1 and DATE2 defined as "attribute as KF" or as normal attributes?

Hello Irmi

OTD111 is defined as an attribute as a KF.  The data type is decimal.  Basically what the calculation does is compute the time difference between 2 dates at PERORDITEM level and average it at a REQUEST level.  Date1 and Date2 are attributes of datatype "TIMESTAMP".  No value is displayed for OTD111 when I try to view them in the Excel view.  There might be some records where "TS8CUSTOMERACCEPT" might have a null value.

Thanks
