Hi team,
We have two different development instance, SPS10 & SPS08 on Amazon Web Service.
Most of the time when we restart/start the instance services are not starting automatically, to get this to work we have to login through putty and then switch to HDB admin then start the service .
Instance Details,
SAP HANA VERSION : SPS10 & SPS08
OS : SUSE Linux
PLATFORM : AWS
INSTANCE TYPE : r3.4xlarge & m2.4xlarge respectively
Help in resolving the issue.
Hello Karthik,
We can't really help you with Development Version.
We would recommend using HANA One 122GB instead of the Development Instance since you are already using r3.4xl.
HANA One - AWS Marketplace has a very user friendly Administration Console Administration.
We also have few features which make it easy for you to communicate to us directly via private chat messages built in the offering and for us to provide support.
thanks,
Dhruman

What do you mean with "start the service"? is it the sapstartsrv oder do you just need to execute the "startsap" command? If sapstartsrv already running, you could check in /usr/sap/HDB/SYS/profile (--> instance profile, probably something like "HDB_HDB00_vhcalhdbdb" if there is a line "Autostart = 1". Otherwise if sapstartsrv not running you probably need to check the services/runlevels in YaST. The service is usually called "sapinit" ("Start the sapstartsrv") and should be enabled...
