Hi Luis,

It depends on your usage scenario: if the same users create Accounts (master data) and also create e.g. Sales Orders, and your aim is to have the Sales Orders assigned to the user that created them, then you could consider not assigning an "Employee responsible - Sales" to the Account master data.

In that case, the Sales Order would be assigned to the user who created the SO.

As Leo mentioned, there is no functionality to automatically assign an "Employee responsible - sales" to a new Account.

You could also use the "Employee Work Distribution" rules to determine the "Employee Responsible for Sales" based on a set of rules - but this would affect sales orders and other business documents, but not the Account master data.

Hi Essenberg.

Thanks four answer.

In fact i need the employee responsible of an account for restrictions in views, i mean, i want that the sales representative A can´t see the accounts created by the sales representative B, even if they are in the same organizational unit. Do you know how can i do that?

Hi Luis,

Assigning Accounts to an Employee Responsible - Sales is part of the answer here.

To actually limit access, you'll need to play around with the Business Roles, and change the Access Rights for the relevant views:

We have limited experience with this so I cannot tell you exactly what to do, but hopefully this provides a starting point.

Hi there,

While testing this function, I found when we defined a rule for Employee Responsible for Sales with All condition, this All rule will be taken into the new account as the Employee Responsible - Sales. (Only rule All works like this).

Additional information, in the Account master data, we have a Mass Change Account Data function. If we want to maintain the employee responsible for many accounts at one time, you may try this function.

Hi Addie.Thanks for your answer.

In the case of you select an responsible employee in the rule, in every account will be assignes this employee no matter who created right?

I mean if in the rule the employee is "Richard", and later "Ralph" create an acoount the responsible for th account created by "Ralph" will be "Richard"?

Hello Luis Angel,

Yes, you are right. If the rule for All is Richard, the employee responsible - sales in the new account will be Richard no matter who creates the account.

I'd like to recommend you to test it in your testing system to confirm the behavior.

Thanks,

Adie

Dear Ms. Hernandez,

There is not option to make the user creating a account(customer) as employee responsible. You can assign the same manually when you create a new account under contact page and responsibilities sub-page which i presume you already know.
