SASO / KUCAS registration information

Dear all,

for shipments into the Middle East region, we have to make sure we have for certain materials a SASO / KUCAS or soon the G-Mark before we can ship products to those countries. As behind each product a fee for the registration has to be paid, we only want to register the products as soon we have an order entered in SAP via VA01. Does any function exists in SAP, where we can store such an information on material master, if a registration for this item exists and that this is displayed during order entry to give a signal to start the registration process or if we are fine and can ship without a registration.

Thanks for your thoughts and feedback.

My initial review would be check your customs procedures for example Saudi Arabia and see if there is a license check.

Check the foreign trade details in the material master and VX01N to create an export license for the SASO process if this is the know way.

Hi Warren,

I will look into this, if we can use this t-code for our solution.

Thanks & Regards,

I'm not an expert on this, but doesn't license functionality apply more to the customers (e.g. check whether a customer has a license to procure a product)? I believe Martin is asking just about the material registration.

Certainly the data can be maintained in the material master on Foreign Trade tab, but is there any validation functionality attached to that? I'm not sure it's actually checked in the sales order, although most likely can be simply added to the incompletion procedure.

Just curious since we might run into a similar scenario.

Thank you.
