Dear expert,
I have 2 problems about IT2006 deduction. Appreciate if you can advise on the cause and solution.
1. Double deduction.
In overview screen, deduction shown is 128 hours which is correct. But, when I checked on the details of deduction, total shown is 216 hours. From the absence list, I found that system deducted twice for some records which lead to incorrect deduction. This incorrect deduction also reflected in portal.
2. Quota deduction not refresh.
In the beginning, employee has 28 hours on quota deduction. Then he apply2 leave requests and get approved. These 2 approved leaves had been stored into IT2001 at the same time. After 1st leave request been stored to IT2001, the quota deduction changes from 28 hours to 40 hours. By right, system should look for other available quota to store 2nd leave record. But, system did not do so. System still continue to deducted from aforementioned fully deducted quota. Refer back to the logged report’s old field column, system seems like ignoring deduction that had been made for 1st request.
Hope to hear from you all soon. Thank you.
Best regards,
Ling
Hi Yeo,
Try running these reports back to back.
RPTKOK00
RPTBPC10
inconsistencies will be resolved

Hi Yeo,
There is no exact root cause has been given by sap when i raised an OSS, Below is the response they have provided
it can happen that infotype 2006 and 2001 can get out of sync. for
numerous reasons as outlined below. To repair your issue the only way I
see is to use report RPTBPC10 via RPTKOK00 which repeats the deduction
process and solves inconsistencies if there are any errors between thesetwo infotypes. SAP recommend to run this report on weekly basis, e.g. asa nightly batch run.
Let me explain about the report RPTBPC10 its impact and reason for data
Running the report RPTBPC10 does not have any impact on any other
applications other than on time management. With the report RPTKOK00 youcan find the inconsistent records of absences/attendances and correct
them with the report RPTBPC10. The problem of the inconsistent records
is generally not due to data entry but due to some external processing
of the data.
1) You have directly copied IT2001/IT2002 records or IT2006/2007 record
between different R/3-Systems, between different employees or just
cloned records for one employee without using the dialog transactions
PA30/PA61. This is generally not allowed but was not critical up to
release 4.0A
2) During the upgrade to 4.5B at least one of the XPRAs RPUQTA50 or
RPUABSATT50 has failed and had not been started again before going live
3) Another reason could be a transport of infotype records between the
development and production systems.
4) With regards to proper proceedure when rehiring an employee and
calculating correct quota balance. It is recommended to
use the delimit function for absence quotas also in future cases.
The normal process is as follows: when an employee leaves also the
infotype 2006 records should be processed. In the termination action
infotype 2006 normally is included and should be delimited accordingly.
Here also infotype 416 often is used to compensate remaining quotas.
I can tell you that there are no known problems/errors in the ongoing
standard functionality. There is no note correction to correct
inconsistencies like the one described. The only way to resolve
deduction problems is via the mentioned reports.
I hope that this information is useful for you.
Thanks for your cooperation.
Regards
Sriram
